Welcome to Day Seventeen
A little devotional tip–Every morning before you start your devotional, thank God for seven things, one things for each day, symbolizing each day of the week as a gift.
1 Corinthians 13
The motivation and inspiraiton behind everything that’s good and true in this life is love. Without it we are nothing.
I realized this long ago. I prayed God would give me love for people I serve.
It is the cornerstone of life, business, parenthood, marriage, community, ministry…
Shakespeare said that all the world’s a stage and we are merely payers in it.
Here’s the reality–in this life we have a distorted image of that love. Until the day arrives when we see Jesus face to face we must abide in faith, hope, and love.
That is when we become truly great!
Practice long-suffering, kindness, rejoicing in others’ successes, politeness, gentleness, others’ good above yours, rejoicing in holiness, rejoicing in the truth, bearing challenges, believing despite all impossibilities, hoping despite all impossibilities, and enduring despite all impossibilities.
Dear Lord, help us to love as you love. Help us to treat those around us with this “true love.” Amen.
Call to Action
One of the reasons I’m starting this devotional is to ask for others to intentionally pray for our business, AngelArts.
I saw my doctor this morning and she’s pretty sure I’m fatigued due to sleep apnea so she ordered a home sleep study for both myself and my son (he has has sleep apnea, too, and so had his tonsils removed last August but that hasn’t solved the whole problem). I’m determined to get these health problems under control so we can get what we need to get done for the Teach Them Diligently homeschooling conference in May I’m speaking at and we’re exhibiting in. I am under a lot of stress right now especially so would definitely appreciate prayer, as well as prayer for my whole team. I know they appreciate it, too!
