Here is your Bible Devotional! Welcome to Day Thirty-Three!

A little Bible Devotional tip–Don’t think you have to be perfect before you come to God. He wants you to come just how you are! He just wants to spend time with you.

Day Thirty-Three

Judges 6:9-10

Bible Devotional Thoughts

What do you need to remember in times of oppression? In times when the weight of the world is lying heavily on you?

God drove out your enemies before, He will do it again. He is going to give you the inheritance He promised you. Sure, it might be that it is of your own doing that you are in some kind of bondage because you did some wrong in the sight of the Lord. God is your loving Father who uses circumstances, even your bad choices, to bring you back to Him. He knows that pain and hardship will cause you to face the end of yourself and depend utterly on Him.

So whatever caused it, you can cry out to Him for deliverance and He will act. He will intervene.

In this case in Judges 6, He first sends a prophet who reminds the Israelites that 1) God delivered them from slavery and 2) The Israelites were told not to fear the gods of the Amorites in the land where they would dwell.

But the Israelites did not obey God’s voice, so they found themselves hiding under the tyranny of the Midianites.

Then a Theophany, a pre-incarnate Jesus, appeared to Gideon, a winepresser who was hiding away in fear.

He took this ordinary, weak man and turned him into a might general. With God’s intervention, Gideon defeated the enemy with only 300 soldiers.

In times of oppression (whether external or internal) we tend to hide. Fear overtakes us. We make decisions out of desperation.

Instead, God wants to take the overlooked ordinary man or woman and use them for His glory to free captives to the god of this world. He wants you to come out of hiding and fight the enemy. The idols in high places and spiritual strongholds that are defeating His people.

He wants you to move forward in faith and band together with His people to bring victory. We as 100% devoted Christians may not be big but we are mighty because God is with us and nothing can stand in His way.

Application of Bible Devotional

Come out of hiding and draw together with God’s people.

Prayer

Dear Lord, help us not fear the impossible or any opposition because you deliver us! Amen.

Call to Action

One of the reasons I’m starting this Bible Devotional is to ask for others to intentionally pray for our business, AngelArts.

Pray that God will grant us wisdom on how to become visible in a crowded marketplace. Pray that we will be faithful to respond to opportunities to get our message out and that these opportunities would come.

Would you like prayer? Please respond with a prayer request and our team will pray for you in our next staff meeting! We did this last night and it was such a blessing to us! And join the group so we can be reminded to pray for you on a regular basis!

And new! If you join the Prayer Team, we have created a private Discord channel where we can pray together! Discord is a great tool for connecting and much more secure than FB Messenger.

Would you like to be even more involved? Join our AngelArts Support Prayer Team! Click here to join today!

Has this message touched you today? Leave a comment and share what God is doing in your life and then share this blog to someone who needs this special touch by God!
