Bible Devotional Thoughts
Are you giving God your first and best or are you giving Him your leftovers?
Think of it this way–if you were to have a best friend or a significant relationship, how much would it honor them if you only gave them little bits and pieces of your time or when you were in your grumpiest moods and most tired time of the day?
It’s the same with God. If we don’t give Him priority–our time and money–after all, those are precious commodities–then we are not honoring Him.
God expects three things from us: These are what pleases God–we believe He exists, that we believe He rewards those who earnestly seek Him, and that we accept this by faith (Hebrews 11:6).
Giving Him our first fruits of time and money is proclaiming that faith. It’s saying to ourselves and all around us that God who redeemed us will take care of us.
So ask the Holy Spirit–when and how long should you meet Him daily and how much and where should you give your income in a cheerful way? Not in a way that’s under compulsion, but as an act of worship.
These are actions of faith and that will please Him and bless you and others!
Application of Bible Devotional
Ask God when and how much regarding devotionals and giving. Make a plan and do it!
Dear Lord, help us to be faithful to give you the first fruits of our produce, worshiping before you.
Call to Action
One of the reasons I’m starting this Bible Devotional is to ask for others to intentionally pray for our business, AngelArts.
Last night my nephew, Nate, and I planned out in detail our new curriculum that we will be unveiling at the Denver Teach Them Diligently Conference. We got very excited. We could spend a lifetime alone on all these products! Please pray for strength and diligence as we have a lot of work to do to get all the books and materials to the printer by the last week of April at the latest.
Would you like prayer? Please respond with a prayer request and our team will pray for you in our next staff meeting! We did this last night and it was such a blessing to us! And join the group so we can be reminded to pray for you on a regular basis!
And new! If you join the Prayer Team, we have created a private Discord channel where we can pray together! Discord is a great tool for connecting and much more secure than FB Messenger.
